Trust in parliament in % 2006: proportion of population with trust - By education and country

Definitions/Comments: Educational levels: low: ISCED 0–2 (compulsory schooling, pre-vocational education); intermediate: ISCED 3–4 (apprenticeship, matura); high: ISCED 5–6 (university, other tertiary).

Question wording: ‘Using this card, please tell me on a score of 0–10 how much you personally trust each of the institutions I read out. 0 means you do not trust an institution at all, and 10 means you have complete trust. National parliament [in Switzerland: National Council and Council of States? The legal system? The police? Politicians? Political parties? The European Parliament? The United Nations?’

Answer categories: Percentages correspond to the respondents who indicated values between 6 and 10 on a scale from 0 to 10 for the national parliament.
