Social report 2016

Biotope value = ecological measure for the assessment of forests as habitats for flora and fauna, based on three criteria: The forest area’s closeness to the natural state (mixed deciduous forests), shrub biodiversity, structural diversity (e.g. multi-layered forests with trees from different age groups). For the calculation of the biotope value, the “structural variety” criterion counts double.
