Unemployment rate in international comparison 1996–2006 - By nationality

Definitions/comments: Unemployment rate: part of unemployed (international definition: persons who have no work, are seeking a job and are ready to begin working) within the economically active population. Economically active population: employed persons and unemployed persons. EU countries: EU–15 (1996, 2001); EU–25 (2006). Legend: in 1996 in Spain 22% of all economically active nationals were unemployed.
