Political opinions by education and country 2004

Definitions/Comments: Educational levels: low: ISCED 0–2 (compulsory schooling, pre-vocational education); high: ISCED 5–6 (university, other tertiary).

Question wording: ‘Using this card, please say to what extent you agree or disagree with each of the following statements. The government should take measures to reduce differences in income levels … When jobs are scarce, men should have more right to a job than women’.

Answer categories: ‘agree strongly‘, ‘agree‘, ‘neither agree nor disagree‘, ‘disagree‘, ‘disagree strongly‘. Percentages correspond to respondents who (strongly) agree with the statement.
