Social report 2012

Each person’s level of education is compared to the level of education of whichever of their parents’ (father or mother) is higher. Stability: the person has the same level of education. Ascending mobility: the person has a higher level of education. Descending mobility: the person has a lower level of education.

Calculations are based on the comparison between three levels of education: low: ISCED 0-2 (compulsory education or pre-vocational training); intermediate: ISCED 3-4 (apprenticeship, matura); high: ISCED 5-6 (university, other tertiary).
